ROBOTS AND DRONES TAKE TO THE STREETS IN FIGHT AGAINST CORONA OUTBREAK
China, which has made significant achievements in artificial intelligence technology, is also using its power in this field to combat its new coronavirus.
After the robotic assistants used in many hospitals in Wuhan, this technology has now taken to the streets. High-tech products such as drones and robots are being used to prevent and control new coronavirus-related pneumonia and protect the health of passengers, China International Radio reported. In Qingdao city, for example, drones are being used for disinfection. A drone can clean 5 thousand square meters of spraying area with 10 kg of disinfectant material it carries each time.
The country's Nanjing South Station uses an infrared thermometer to measure the body temperature of anyone who passes through the region without any faults and without disturbing people. Those with excess body temperature are controlled to prevent the spread of the disease. Another robot is stationed in front of a shopping mall in Guangzhou. The robot, which works at the city's busiest point, controls the body temperature of anyone passing through the perimeter.
